Endorsement Caucus
DGCA Announces Candidates Forum
PRESS RELEASE February 22, 2011
On Monday, February 22, 2011, the Downers Grove Community Advocates announce a caucus for Village Council and Park District candidates to be held on Saturday, February 26th, 2011 at Fire Station #2, 5420 Main Street, Downers Grove.
The purpose of this caucus is to allow candidates an opportunity to educate the general public as well as directors and members of the DGCA as to their candidacy and platform. The question and answer sessions will be moderated by Dan McInerney, president of the Downers Grove Community Advocates. Candidates will be scheduled in 20 minute increments beginning at 9:00 am.
As the DGCA plans to endorse candidates, these interviews will serve to better inform members and the public.
The forum is open to the public.
Follow the path of the unsafe, independent thinker. Expose your ideas to the dangers of controversy. Speak your mind and fear less the label of crackpot than the stigma of conformity. And on issues that seem important to you, stand up and be counted at any cost.
